Requirements for Master’s Degree Programmes (15 months)
To apply for an MA, MEd, MSc, or MBA degree, candidates must:
- Hold a good first degree (at least a second class) in a relevant field from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
- Provide an official transcript of their academic record.
- Submit at least two reference reports, one of which must be from a former lecturer.
- Pass a selection interview.
- Meet any additional requirements specified by the relevant faculty or department.
Requirements for Master of Philosophy Programmes (24 months)
For MPhil, MCom, or MN degree programmes, candidates must:
- Hold a good first degree (at least a second class) in a relevant field from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
- Provide an official transcript of their academic record.
- Submit at least two reference reports, one of which must be from a former lecturer.
- Submit a 2-3 page proposal on their intended area of study, including references.
- Pass a selection interview.
- Fulfill any additional requirements prescribed by the relevant faculty or department.
Requirements for Doctor of Philosophy Programmes (36 months)
To apply for a PhD programme, candidates must:
- Hold an MPhil or research-based MA, MEd, MSc, or MBA degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
- Alternatively, hold an MA, MEd, MSc, or MBA degree in a relevant field with a CGPA of 3.5 or better (no more than one grade C+), and have scored B+ or better in a Research Methods course.
- Provide an official transcript of their academic record.
- Submit at least three reference reports, one of which must be from a former lecturer.
- Submit a 3-5 page proposal on their intended area of study, including a working bibliography.
- Meet any additional requirements outlined by the department or faculty.
