How to Apply to UCC CoDE
- Obtain a Pin and Serial Number:
- Visit any of the designated Sale Centres.
- You’ll receive a receipt or text message with a PIN and Serial Number.
- Take this receipt to the nearest Study Centre Coordinator for further assistance.
- Complete the Online Application:
- Visit https://ucc.edu.gh/main/apply-now.
- Navigate to “Admissions” and click on Apply Online.
- Select the DISTANCE application type and follow the instructions.
Important Submission Guidelines
- All applicants must provide specific details on a large EMS envelope, including:
- Application Reference Number
- Full Names (no abbreviations)
- Address
- Study/Examination Centre
- Region
- Contact Number
- Programme (handwritten)
- Ensure all WASSCE/SSSCE results are verified.
- Submit a copy of the Confirmation Page, along with copies of your Academic Transcript and Certificates, to the nearest UCC CoDE Study Centre or any branch of Ghana Post Office.
Submission of Application Forms
- Submit two copies of the completed online application forms, accompanied by two copies of result slips, certificates, and transcripts, to either:
- The nearest College of Distance Education (CoDE) Study Centres, or
- Any branch of Ghana Post Office.
- Applications missing any of the required documents, such as the Application Reference Number, photocopies of certificates, or transcripts, will not be processed.
Key Reminders
- Keep photocopies of your Confirmation Page, and the Receipt with PIN and Serial Numbers for future reference.
- Always quote your Application Reference Number when communicating with the College.
- No changes to your chosen program will be allowed after online submission.
- Foreign applicants must pay fees in US Dollars.

Mature Entrance Examination (MEE) Information
If you do not meet the requirements for direct entry, you can gain admission through the Mature Entrance Examination (MEE).

- Eligibility:
- Applicants should be at least 25 years old at the time of application.
- Attach a birth certificate that is at least five years old.
- Qualification Criteria (Applicants must have one of the following):
- Minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE (grades D7, E8, or E).
- G.C.E. ‘O’ Level Certificate.
- NVTI Certificate.
- NABPTEX Certificate or Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) awarded by the Technical Examination Unit of GES.
- Main Papers:
- Aptitude Test
- General Paper
- Special Papers:
- Exams in Mathematics and English Language for those without credit passes in these subjects from WASSCE/SSSCE or G.C.E. ‘O’ Level.
Preparatory Classes
- Special preparatory classes will be held at selected examination centers to improve your chances of passing the Mature Entrance Examination.
Note: If you lack credit passes in English and Mathematics, you will be required to register for and pass special exams in these subjects before admission.
