The University of Ghana’s Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) in every academic year, opens applications for the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship is designed for high-achieving Level 100 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, which provides comprehensive financial support to help them excel in their studies.

What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The EPI Scholarship offers extensive financial assistance to selected students, covering:
- Full tuition fees
- Books
- Room and board
- Additional stipends for personal expenses
The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided recipients maintain a minimum B average (3.0 GPA) throughout their studies.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Level 100 student currently enrolled at the University of Ghana.
- Reside in a low-income area of the country.
- Demonstrate limited family income or insufficient funds to cover educational expenses.
- Show a strong determination to succeed, evidenced by perseverance and success in past endeavors.
- Achieved an aggregate score of 11 or better in the WASSCE.
- Continuing students with a CGPA of 3.5 (limited slots available) or Level 300 students in a six-year program can also apply.
- Confirm that you are not currently receiving any other scholarship and pledge not to accept another scholarship if awarded the EPI.
- Medical students (both Level 100 and continuing with a CGPA of 3.5) are also encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
Interested students should follow these steps to apply:
- Complete the Online Application Form: Fill out the APPLICATION FORM, including the required essays, on the University of Ghana’s SFAO website.
- Print and Submit a Hardcopy: After completing the online form, print a hardcopy of the application along with all relevant supporting documents. Submit these to the Students Financial Aid Office by the deadline.
Required Supporting Documents:
- Copy of academic records (Transcripts/WASSCE grades)
- Letters of recommendation
- Birth certificates of siblings
- Proof of financial need (e.g., family income statements)
- Any other documents that may support your application
