The KNUST Day of Giving is a 24-hour global online fundraising initiative, scheduled for Friday, 6th October, 2023. It is a day set aside by KNUST for her alumni, friends and stakeholders such as staff, students, parents, neighbours and business partners to show appreciation to the University.
Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice-Chancellor.
When Can I Give?
The Day of Giving starts at midnight on Friday, October 6, and ends at 11:59 p.m. However, donations can still be made before and after the designated period. You don’t have to wait to make a difference, though. Click here to make your donation.
What Is Our Goal?
Our goal is to raise a total amount of GHS 200 million from alumni, friends, stakeholders, corporate entities, and students.
Where Do Contributions Go?
The contributions go towards the construction of a 2000-bed capacity Hall of Residence on the KNUST Campus for student accommodation.
Why Should I Participate?
Your participation is the best expression of your appreciation for the impact KNUST has made on your life. When you participate, you join others in pooling resources together so that we can blaze new trails. By giving back to KNUST, you are making a profound difference in the lives of many KNUST students, both today and tomorrow. Your gift of any amount will help provide the resources and create a congenial environment for students to realize their dreams, keep our campus safe, and demonstrate the love we have for KNUST to the entire community.
Are There Other Ways I Can Get Involved?
Certainly! Once you have access to a phone or computer and a few minutes to spare, you can volunteer as a Day of Giving Advocate. Reach out to friends and classmates to encourage their participation. You may also want to leverage your own gift to motivate others or set up a personal challenge to match donations from your classmates, brothers or sisters, teammates, etc. You can even help build awareness leading up to the day by sharing what you love most about KNUST using the hashtag #KNUSTDayofGiving.
