Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has officially opened its admission portal after successfully admitting applicants for the 2022/2023 academic year intake.
This gives the opportunity to students whose WASSCE results were withheld and those who failed to gain admission. This opportunity is solely provided to those who applied before the deadline but failed to gain admission.
According to KNUST Management, Regular admission is completed, however, there MAY be spaces in other modes of admission such as FEE PAYING//PARALLEL/ IDL DIPLOMA / LIMITED VACANCIES in selected programmes.
Difference between a Regular Student and a Fee-paying student.
Fee-paying students will be charged the factual cost of their tuition fees in the public universities, which therefore makes their fees high. Regular students on the other hand, have their tuition fees subsidised by the government so that they don’t pay tuition but still pay fees to cover other expenses. Regular students normally have to meet the cutoff point before they are admitted to study a particular programme.
In other words, A fee-paying student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is one who meets the minimum entry requirements of the school but does not gain admission due to the number of people of who applied and performed better than Him/Her. Fee-paying and Regular students attend the same lectures, same class, same lecturer, and same examination.

NOTE: Fee-Paying in KNUST is ONLY applicable to applicants who do not meet the cut-off aggregate for their selected programmes.
Fee-Paying admission means paying full fees for the entire duration of the program offered.
