College of Education at the University of Ghana, UG Legon, was established in August 2014 after the university adopted collegiate style government.This was established after the College of Basic and Applied Science

UG Legon College of Education Mission
To create an enabling environment that makes the College of Education increasingly relevant to national and global development through cutting-edge research and innovative ICT-driven high-quality teaching and learning in all units within the College.
Through the main campus, Regional Learning Centres, and innovative e-learning platforms, the University of Ghana’s College of Education is dedicated to removing barriers that limit access to and success in university-level studies, as well as increasing educational opportunities for adult learners nationwide.
The College aspires to achieve this by providing flexible and accessible alternatives for students who are constrained in reaching their post-secondary learning and lifelong learning goals due to personal circumstances, geography, finances, or professional and family obligations. We are dedicated to achieving excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship, as well as providing public service.
UG Legon College of Education Provost
Professor Martin Oteng-Ababio is the Provost of the University of Ghana’s College of Education. He has vast expertise in teaching, research, and management as a Professor of Geography and Resource Development.
UG Legon College of Education Central Administration
The Provost, the College Secretary, and the College Finance Officer make up the College’s Central Administration. The central administration serves as a coordinating entity for the administrative functions of the College’s constituent units. The Provost is in charge of the College
