Knust to End First Semester in May,2022 Despite UTAG Strike ; The university management of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has set a new date to bring the first semester of 2021/2022 academic year to an end.

Despite the ongoing UTAG Strike, the school management has officially decided to vacate from Wednesday, 27th April 2022 to Friday, 13th May 2022. The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has decided to keep its strike going.

High Court tells NLC and UTAG to Settle their dispute out of court

On all campuses, UTAG members are on strike to push the government to restore the service conditions agreed upon in 2012. A lecturer’s Basic plus Market Premium was set at $2,084.42 in the 2012 conditions of service. The current arrangement, according to UTAG, has decreased the basic premiums of its members to $997.84.

Meanwhile, the administration of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology just released the full 2021/2022 academic calendar. Also, a date has been scheduled for the mid and first-semester examinations for the 2021/2022 academic year.
