KNUST Extends Final Thesis Submission Deadline for March 2026 Special Graduation.

The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has extended the final thesis submission deadline for students preparing to graduate in the March 2026 (Special) Congregation.

In an official notice dated February 17, 2026, and addressed to Heads of Department, the School announced that the new deadline for final thesis submission is Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Who Qualifies for the Extension?

According to the statement, the extension is intended to accommodate students whose theses have reached advanced stages of completion, including:

  1. Students who have received reports from examiners and have effected the required corrections.
  2. Students whose final theses are currently under review by Internal Examiners.
  3. Students whose theses are awaiting Supervisor’s signature.
  4. Students whose theses are awaiting the Head of Department’s signature.

Heads of Department have been encouraged to use the extension period to facilitate the clearance of affected students and ensure all necessary processes are completed before the deadline.

The School further emphasized that the final thesis submission section of the Thesis Deposition and Management System (TDMS) will be shut down at midnight on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Students are therefore advised to complete all required submissions and approvals before the portal closes.

The notice was signed by Mrs. Juliana S. Andoh, Deputy Registrar/School Secretary of the School of Graduate Studies.
