Nss Secretariat Finally Opens Up On Gh¢100 Nss Deduction For National Cathedral
Mrs Gifty Oware-Aboagye, the Deputy Executive Director for the National Service Scheme (NSS), has refuted the claims of withdrawing money from the allowances of National Service personnel to assist in the building of the National Cathedral.
On national television, she denied all claims which had arisen to this issue and stated that the allowances paid to the NS personnel was non taxable and therefore no amount could be deducted unless instructed by the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA).
She also pointed out that the National Congress of NASPA had been held already and nothing regarding donations of monies to the building of the National Cathedral had been mentioned by the council.
