KNUST Vice-Chancellor Meets New Student Leaders

Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), met with all student leadership at KNUST on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in the College of Science Auditorium. The purpose of the gathering was to talk about how student leaders can help students avoid becoming infected with Covid-19 over the semester.

Professor (Mrs.) Dickson lauded the student leaders’ efforts to assume leadership roles in the University Community in order to support the Administration in achieving KNUST’s core objectives. She also gave them advise on what it takes to be a leader and the responsibilities that come with it.

The interaction continued with an open forum for the student leaders to share their opinions on how the University Management would ensure that the student body adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols.

2021/2022 Knust First and Mid Semester Examination Date Officially Out

Professor Wilson Agyei Agyare, Dean of Students; Professor William Gariba, who spoke about “The Challenge of Being a Student Leader”; and Dr Hannah Vivian Osei, who led a forum on “Building an Efficient Working Team” were among the other speakers during the meeting. Professor Osei Safo-Kantanka and Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe also led Interactive Sessions on “The Student Leader and Integrity” and “Social Media – Its Usefulness and Challenges for the Student Leader.”

All SRC elected Executives, NUGS elected Executives, Speaker of SRC Parliament and Clerk of Parliament, SRC Appointees, NUGS Appointees, all Members of SRC Parliament, Presidents and Secretaries of all Faculty and Departmental Student Associations were present at the meeting.
