KNUST To Have First In Person Graduation After 3 years of Virtual Special Congregation

For the past 3 years, Virtual Special Congregation/graduation ceremony has been held at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) ONLINE for graduate undergraduate and postgraduate students who completed their respective courses of study due the COVID-19.

The Knust SRC President, Michael Abuah, has revealed during the State of KNUST SRC Address that, for the first time in the last 3 years, the 2022 graduation ceremony will be held in person at the Great Hall.

During the 2021 virtual special congregation, 4,472 students graduated, including 814 undergraduates and 3,658 postgraduates. In terms of gender, the University graduated 1,563 females, accounting for 34.95 percent of the total number of graduates. Ninety-one (91) postgraduate students were awarded Ph.D.s, with twenty-eight (28) of them being female. This is an increase from the previous year’s number of five females. We hope to see an increment this year.
