The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) hosted the highly anticipated Food Festival 2025 on Friday, 14th February 2025, at the Royal Parade Grounds. Organized by the Department of Food Science and Technology, the event brought together students, food industry players, and researchers to explore the latest advancements in food technology.
Theme: “Innovation and Technological Advancement in Mindful Bites: Nourishing the Body and Mind”

Keynote Addresses
Professor Faustina Wireko Manu, Head of the Department of Food Science and Technology, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the need to educate the public on the science underpinning food preparation, nutrition, and food safety. Professor David Asamoah, Pro-Vice Chancellor of KNUST, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of mindful and innovative food practices in fostering a healthier and more sustainable future. He encouraged participants to adopt sustainable food practices that prioritize nutrition, food safety, and environmental sustainability.
