There are a variety of courses that are available for everyone to afford as a student; however, there are some entry requirements you need as a candidate to enter into KNUST.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR WASSCE/SSSCE CANDIDATES.
Undergraduate or degree programmes have simple requirements you need to meet as an applicant to to gain admission into KNUST.
For a degree programme in KNUST, an applicant must have CREDITS in THREE WASSCE/SSSCE Core Subjects ie. English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and or Social Studies and CREDITS in THREE of your WASSCE/SSSCE Elective Subjects.
A WASSCE applicant qualifies to be enrolled with A1, B2, B3, C4, C6 and grades A,B, C and D gives an SSSCE candidate a chance to gain admission into the Technological University.
Cut off points for all programs vary but your scores should be equivalent to aggregate 24 or better.
It is best to know that E8 and F9 are not acceptable grades for WASSCE candidates and neither are grades E or F acceptable for admission purposes for an SSSCE candidate.
Also, have it in mind that the THREE CORE SUBJECTS are very important and need to be passed for and admission in this remarkable institution.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (GBCE)
Applicants holding the General Business Certificate must pass THREE Compulsory Subjects including English language and Mathematics and must have passes in any THREE Elective Subjects.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ADVANCED LEVEL AND MATURE STUDENTS.
Applicants who hold the Advanced Level Certificate must have CREDITS in at least FIVE(5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level.
A Mature Student will qualify for enrollment in KNUST if he/she has CREDITS in FIVE(5) GCE ‘O’ level subjects including English language and Mathematics and pass an entrance examination or an interview or whatever the faculty requires.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OR IB HOLDERS.
All foreign applicants must have an equivalent qualification of the above from an accredited institution.
Also, Applicants from francophone countries must be fluent in English and provide a minimum of a one-year English Proficiency Certificate in addition to their entry requirements.
