According to the announcement released by KNUST Libraries, the new schedule will take effect from Wednesday, April 1, 2026, through Thursday, April 23, 2026. This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to provide enhanced academic support to students as they prepare for their end-of-semester examinations.

The decision to extend library hours reflects KNUST’s commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment. By ensuring round-the-clock access, students will have greater flexibility to study at their preferred times, particularly those who perform best during late-night or early-morning hours.

The Prempeh II Library, known for its comprehensive academic resources and quiet study spaces, will serve as a central hub for students seeking uninterrupted access to books, digital materials, and research facilities throughout the examination period. However, students should note that the KNUST Library Mall will close at 10:00 p.m. each day, even as the main library continues to operate throughout the night.

University authorities have encouraged students to take full advantage of this opportunity while also adhering to library rules and maintaining a disciplined study atmosphere. The initiative is expected to significantly ease academic pressure and promote productivity among students.

KNUST Libraries reaffirm their role as a gateway to knowledge, innovation, and academic excellence, emphasizing their dedication to supporting student success during critical academic periods.
