A 12-year-old child has allegedly been assaulted by his mother after selling plantain they harvested from the farm in Abrabra in the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipality.
The victim says the incident happened shortly after his mother returned from the farm.
According to victim, he informed the mother about his intention to sell some of the plantain they harvested but did not receive any response from her.
The victim says he later went ahead to sell the plantain for GHS30 and handed the money over to his mother.
However, he claims her mother, Diana Kwarteng, became angry and allegedly beat him severely.
Meanwhile, the uncle of the victim says the case has been officially reported to the police and the family is expecting the law to take its course.
The police say they are yet to make an arrest.
