The Department of Publishing Studies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) came alive with excitement, innovation and community engagement as the 2025 GAPSA Book. This year’s event themed around literacy and youth empowerment was spearheaded by Eight Final-Year Students in specializing in Administration. They are:

Organized as part of their final-year project, the event was a dynamic fusion of education and entertainment, focused on promoting reading culture and creative learning among basic school students. With generous sponsorship and support from: MTN Ghana, SmartLine Publishers Limited,G-PAK, RADA PRESTIGE, MODAJ RESTO, STICK IT UP, SANIS JUICE, and several other partners, the event was nothing short of impactful.

These young participants were immersed in a variety of activities that highlighted the transformative power of reading, storytelling and communication. The The day featured interactive sessions such as news broadcasting simulations, talent showcases, group discussions, and literacy-themed games that inspired critical thinking and self-expression.

The GAPSA Annual Meet was more than just an academic exercise—it was a celebration of connection. Students from diverse backgrounds came together to learn, collaborate, and grow. The initiative fostered peer-to-peer learning and created a vibrant atmosphere where creativity and community spirit thrived.
Attendees enjoyed exciting giveaways and took part in engaging contests, all of which emphasized the joy and importance of reading. The event proved that when students, educators, and sponsors come together with a shared purpose, lasting change is possible.
