Four-Year BSc Nursing and BSc Midwifery

For WASSCE Holders:

  • BSc Nursing: Candidates with a business subject background are not eligible. Only those with Pure Science, Agricultural Science, Arts, or Home Economics qualifications can apply.
  • BSc Midwifery: Business subject candidates are also not eligible. Admission is open to Pure Science, Agricultural Science, Arts, or Home Economics applicants.

Core Subject Requirements (Compulsory):

  1. English Language
  2. Mathematics
  3. Integrated Science

Elective Subject Requirements:

Science Stream: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Elective Mathematics
Non-Science Stream: A combination of subjects such as History, Geography, Literature in English, General Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition, or any Ghanaian language.

Mature and Top-Up Applicants

A. Mature Applicants

  1. BSc Midwifery (3 Years):
    • Must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with at least three years of work experience.
    • Must be in good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
  2. BSc Nurse Practitioner (3 Years):
    • Requirements similar to the BSc Midwifery program.

B. Top-Up Programs (2 Years)

  1. BSc General Nursing:
    • Diploma-holding Registered Nurses with at least three years of experience.
  2. BSc Midwifery:
    • Diploma-holding Registered Midwives with at least three years of experience.
  3. BSc Paediatric Nursing:
    • Open to diploma holders in nursing or midwifery with similar experience requirements.

Study Options: Modular, Sandwich, or Weekend classes are available for mature and top-up applicants.
