The University of Cape Coast (UCC) Students’ Representative Council (SRC), led by Abraham Norman Nortey, has officially announced the beneficiaries of the SRC Scholarship Support Program. This initiative aims to support financially disadvantaged but academically outstanding students, promoting academic empowerment and equal opportunities for all ¹.

After a rigorous selection process, 33 students were awarded the scholarship, with some receiving full coverage and others partial support. The eligibility criteria required applicants to demonstrate genuine financial need, maintain academic excellence, and not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship.

The application period ran from January 25 to February 10, 2025, followed by interviews on February 12, 2025. The final list of beneficiaries was announced on February 15, 2025.

Beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to the SRC for the intervention, describing it as a life-changing opportunity. Emmanuel Kyei, who received full sponsorship, shared his excitement, stating, “This scholarship means everything to me.
