Entry Requirements for Certificate Programmes (Weekends)

1. Applicants with WASSCE Certificates

  • Passes (A-E8) in five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.

2. Applicants with SSSCE Certificates

  • Passes (A-E) in five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.

3. Applicants with Ordinary Level Certificates

  • Passes in five (5) GCE O-Level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and Science.

4. Other Applicants

  • Candidates must be at least 20 years old and hold any of the following:
    • Diploma in Business Studies (DBS)
    • Middle School Leaving Certificate (MSLC)
    • National Vocational and Technical Institute (NVTI) Certificate
    • Technician Part I or II Certificate
    • Basic Education Certificate (BEC) or equivalent
  • Applicants must also pass an interview conducted by the department.

5. International Applicants

Note: Certificate programmes are scheduled on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

The closing date for submission of 2024/2025 undergraduate application documents is December 6, 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.

Notification of Admission

  • Selected applicants will receive an SMS notification on their provided contact numbers.
  • The list of admitted students will also be published on the UMaT website (Admission List).
  • Successful candidates must log into their portals to print their admission letters and related documents.

Fees Payment and Registration

  • Admitted candidates must adhere to the payment deadlines stated in their admission letters.
