The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has received a donation of 50 printers from Docutech Ghana to strengthen the University’s digital infrastructure and support teaching and learning activities.
The equipment was formally presented during a courtesy call on University Management by a Docutech delegation led by its General Manager, Mr. Alhassan Fuseini. He was accompanied by Mr. Afanu Emmanuel, Sales Lead, and Mr. Ariff Jasny, who oversees enterprise content management, digitization, tenders, and e-learning solutions.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Fuseini reaffirmed Docutech Ghana’s commitment to supporting KNUST’s digital transformation agenda. He referenced the company’s previous support for the SONSOL project in October and noted that the latest donation aligns with the University’s strategic vision of expanding access to modern learning tools.
He explained that the donation forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts and its broader commitment to investing in the future of Ghanaian students to help produce globally competitive graduates.
Receiving the printers on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor expressed profound appreciation for the gesture, describing it as both timely and impactful. She noted that the donation demonstrates Docutech’s belief in the University’s vision and its mission to train professionals for Ghana, Africa, and the world.
According to her, the printers will help reduce operational costs, improve access to essential learning materials, and strengthen the University’s capacity to deliver quality teaching, learning, and research. She added that the support contributes significantly to bridging the digital divide within the institution.
University Management assured the company that the printers would be effectively deployed to support academic work and encouraged Docutech Ghana to sustain the partnership through future collaborations, including initiatives aimed at student support.
